Welcome back to another exciting school year at CIM!
On behalf of all of the staff at CIM we would like to welcome back all of our families to another fantastic year at CIM. We would also like to welcome our new families into our CIM Community.
Thank you for entrusting your children to our care. It is an honour and privilege to serve our students and community in their journey of exploration and growth. We look forward to providing your children with a sound academic education in a safe, caring and nurturing learning environment.
I am excited to be the principal of CIM. During my short time visiting CIM in the spring, it was evident that we have a community of learners. I saw staff excited to engage the hearts, heads and hands of our students. I saw students engaged and eager to share their learning and acting with conscious discipline.
Parents, thank you for choosing CIM as your school of choice for the 2019-2020 school year. I welcome conversations, and look forward to your input. Please know that my door is always open. We can’t succeed without you as partners in your child’s education.
Families will be welcomed into the school at 8:40 to drop off their child(ren) and say a quick hello to their teacher. Many teachers have moved classrooms and are very excited to show off their new learning space. Staff and admin will be on hand to help students find their new class.
Ms. Swanson, Ms Burrows and Mrs. Novack will be in the learning commons at 9:00 and would love parents to come and say hello.

School Council and Volunteers

New Members for the Hot Lunch Team for Fall 2019
Our one school fundraiser is the Hot Lunch Program. In order for it to be successful, we need help. We are looking for parents, grandparents or friends of the family to help. You can volunteer one Thursday a month or as often as you are able to help cook and prepare with other experienced volunteers.
We also have a position that require a little more time and attention:
1) Hot Lunch co-planner – you would work alongside an experience hot lunch planner to choose meals, recipes and create shopping lists
Any help you could provide would be appreciated. This is a very good fundraiser for the School Council and helps to pay for things for Sport’s Day, Gingerbread Houses, field trips and more. If we did not have this successful fundraiser we may need to have more frequent smaller fundraisers. Please consider coming to help prepare or signing up for one of the positions.
Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org or speak to the office if you are interested in helping.
Please join us in Welcoming Joanne Breeze, who will be team teaching with Trish Draper in grade one. As well, join us in welcoming our new Principal, Stacey Swanson.
See you Tuesday!
